Description

The property is full of charm including beamed ceilings, large inglenook fireplace whilst offering a modern kitchen and bathroom. There is also the benefit of a detached stone longhouse set within the grounds offering great potential for development into further accommodation.

The lounge leads to the conservatory and opens onto the dining room.

Dining Room - 5.18m x 2.69m - The dining room has a window either end and a radiator. A door leads through to t he kitchen.

Kitchen/ Breakfast Room - 3.81m x 3.56m - The kitchen is fitted with a good range of base and wall units with contrasting solid oak work surfaces over, central island unit, plumbing for a washing machine, double Belfast sink with a mixer tap over, radiator, space for an American Fridge/ Freezer, tile effect laminate flooring, cooker point, part tiled walls, under unit lighting, beamed ceiling, windows to the front and side and a door leading out to the side.

There is a heated towel rail and school style radiator, low level w.c., twin wash hand basins on a vanity unit with mixer taps over, exposed floorboards, airing cupboard with tank and a window to the front with a deep sill.

Gardens - The property is approached along a long driveway with gates at both ends. The driveway opens onto a parking and turning area with a good sized decked patio overlooking the stunning valley and hills beyond. The gardens are well established and are planted with mature trees and shrubs. The barn is located at the far end of the garden. There is also a covered canopy area ideal for siting a hot tub.

View From The Decking -

Detached Barn - We are informed by the vendor that the building used to be a longhouse many years ago with the livestock being houses in the lower part of the building with the occupiers living in the higher levels. The current owners therefore feel that obtaining the relevant planning to convert the building back to a dwelling should be pretty straight forward.

Interior - 14.08m x 4.58m - The interior of the building is currently one open space and has a two storey height at the bottom end where the entrance to the building would be. There is ample head room in our opinion to create a mezzanine at the top end of the property. There is a window to the rear and side along with two doors to the front (one will need to be changed or blocked up). The ceiling has the exposed ceiling timbers which are a lovely feature of the property.

Garage & Driveway - To the bottom side of the barn there is an open fronted garage.

Rear Garden Area - To the rear of the barn there is a cottage style garden which runs along the boundary.

Views - The property enjoys breath taking views over the surrounding countryside and the famous Ceiriog Valley.

Directions - Take the Gobowen Road out of Oswestry (B5609) onto the A5 towards Wrexham, at the Gledrid roundabout take the second exit signposted Chirk and proceed until reaching the village. Follow the road through the village turning left opposite the church onto Castle Road (B4500). Continue along this road for approximately 6 miles passing through the villages of Pontfadog, Dolywern and Glyn Ceiriog. Continue through the village of Pandy and after approximately half a mile there is a gravelled parking area which will be seen on the right-hand side on the bend. After another 100 metres there is a stone-built milk stand on the side of the road, you will need to pull in opposite here and turn up the side road by the milk stand. Take the left-hand fork and follow this road up for approximately 500 metres. The driveway to the property will be found on the left-hand side. Follow the road down to the property.
